The Department of Veterinary Medicine is a leading academic and research department which was established among four (4) other departments under the School of Veterinary Sciences (SoVS), located at the Nyankpala campus of the University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. It was established in May, 2023.  

To be a premier department of veterinary medicine, recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative and impactful research, outstanding clinical services as well as exceptional educational programs.
