Background

I have practically worked in the Water and Sanitation sector in various parts of Ghana for over Nineteen (19) years in various capacities spanning from project Hydrogeologist, water and sanitation engineering consulting Hydrogeologist, consulting water and sanitation engineer through to project management. I am reasonably abreast with rural, peri-urban and urban water and sanitation project design and implementation. I have lectured for over fifteen years at a public university (University for Development Studies); teaching and researching in applied hydrogeology as well as water and sanitation-related subjects.

A Senior Lecturer in Applied Hydrogeology with special interest in Groundwater sustainability studies,  Hydrogeochemistry, Groundwater Vulnerability studies, Isotope hydrology, Climate Change and its impacts on groundwater resources  Groundwater resources development Water and Sanitation, and management, Environment Science. Specifically, my current research works cover;

  • Sustainable Groundwater Development
  • Groundwater vulnerability studies
  • Groundwater quality evaluation and human health in relation to mining and agricultural
  • Health risk assessment of groundwater resources in different geologic settings
  • Effects of Climate change/variability on groundwater sustainability
  • Contaminant Sources to surficial and groundwater reservoirs in Ghana
  • Genesis of fluoride in groundwater sources in Voltaian basin of the northern region of Ghana
  • Development of low-cost technology for the removal of fluoride in Groundwater using locally available materials
