Kingsford Gyasi Amakye is an assistant lecturer at the Department of Community Development Studies at the University for Development Studies. Prior to joining the department, he worked at the Presbyterian Senior High School and served as Head of the Languages Department for three years. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Linguistics and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Studies from the University of Ghana and the University for Development Studies respectively. He also holds a Diploma in Education from the University College of Education, Winneba. Amakye is also an associate member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS). Amakye’s research focuses on understanding community development, governance, development communication, democratic development, and sustainability issues. Along with his academic background, he has experience in coaching and counseling. Amakye is a doctoral student currently, and his research focuses on communication and dissemination strategies in sustaining community development projects.
