Bizoola Zinzoola Gandaa (PhD) is a lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Mechanization and Irrigation Technology (DAMIT). He has also attained certificates in Natural Resources in Conflict Management, Land Degradation and Management in Rural Livelihood Contexts. Dr. Gandaa rose from the ranks of Teaching Assistant, Senior Research Assistant through Principal Research Assistant to Lecturer. He is currently the DAMIT Quality Assurance Officer, Adjunct Researcher (Kazuhiko Tacheuchi Center for Sustainable and Resilience), Member of National Committee on Natural Resources Capacity Building and also Alternative Irrigation Facilities (Wind and Solar) in Ghana. He has over 20 years of teaching, research and training experience and undertakes teaching, training, research in water management, soil/water conservation, ecosystem services and community-outreach programs. Under teaching, he lectures undergraduate and postgraduate students in the faculties of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources as well as in the School of Engineering. Dr. Gandaa also collaborated with other researchers in the field of enhancing sustainable intensification, food and nutritional security, feasibility studies on irrigation schemes and safe and productive reuse of urban/agricultural waste. In community outreach programs he conducted capacity building in natural resources conflict management. International outreach training programs were also conducted in Freetown - Sierra Leone, Banjul - Gambia, Arusha - Tanzania and Cape Town - South Africa.
