The event saw participation from 13 public universities across Ghana, competing in a variety of sporting disciplines including Athletics, High Jump, Long Jump, Pole Vault, Handball, and Football, among others.

The atmosphere was electric as the University for Development Studies (UDS), reigning FASU Football champions and holders of nine gold medals from the previous GUSA Games, made a grand entrance. “We arrived here today not just to compete, but to uphold the legacy of excellence that UDS is known for,” stated Coach Kojo Whyte, of the UDS football team, as his team entered the venue in style, adorned with the university’s colors and banners.
