Dr. Nashirudeen is the Head of the Department of Medical Imaging/Medical Physicist. He is generally nervous at failing to meet deadlines and not delivering quality outputs in assigned tasks; this puts him closer to perfectionists. He aspires to become a key African figure in Medical Physics research and practice. His achievements include:

1. Selected candidate in the 2022 Associate Stipend Program to participate in the 31st Joint Annual Meeting of the ISMRM-ESMRMG and ISMRT in London, UK in 2022.
2. Led the development of the curriculum and accreditation process for the BSc Medical Imaging Technology programme, and the establishment of the Department of Medical Imaging in 2019.
3. Led the organization of the Ghana-Norway Summer School in Medical Physics and Radiography in Northern Region (for the first time) on the Tamale-Dungu campus of the University for Development Studies in 2018.
