ADMISSIONS OF CANDIDATES TO MASTER OF PUBLIC HEALTH (MPH) PROGRAMME

2017/2018 ACADEMIC YEAR

Application forms for admission to graduate programmes to the MPH programme of the University for Development Studies (UDS). The application forms are available online at www.uds.edu.gh

 

FULL-TIME (REGULAR) PROGRAMME

School of Medicine and Health Sciences

  • Master of Public Health (MPH)

Applicants with backgrounds in health related professions (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, etc.) or applicants with Social Sciences background ( e.g Psychology, Sociology etc.) who intend to make a career in any health related profession are particularly encouraged to apply.

An applicant with institutional support has a strong advantage. Applicants should have a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division)

MODE OF APPLICATION

The procedure for the online application process is as follows:

i. Make a payment of GHS 200.00 (Two Hundred Ghana Cedis) in the case of Ghanaian applicants, and USD 150.00 (One Hundred and Fifty United States Dollars) for Foreign applicants, for the UDS E-Voucher at any of the following banks:

Mode of Application For Ghanaian Applicants; Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) , Prudential Bank, Zenith Bank, Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) , Stanbic Bank and Ecobank branches throughout the country.

Or

ii. Visit the UDS Online Admission Portal with a Master Card or Visa Card to make an online payment of $150.00 (One Hundred and Fifty US Dollars)

iii. Print the advice slip for future reference.

iv. In completing the online form, students will be required to upload their most recent passport size photographs with white background and relevant certificates

v. A completed form is not considered until it is SUBMITTED

vi. Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before finally submitting their online applications. A form, once submitted, can be viewed, but cannot be edited.

vii. Applicants must print out three copies of the application summary; attach results slips , certificates and all other relevant documents to each form. Three reference letters are also required (at least, two of the referees should be familiar with applicants’ academic work).

viii. Candidates are strongly advised to visit any EMS Office in the Country for assistance towards the return of the application documents (see vii). Applicants are advised not to post the forms themselves. They should seek the advice and services of Ghana Post EMS.

All non-Ghanaian applicants are advised to apply as follows:

Closing date for application is March 31, 2017. Candidates should note that no applications will be accepted after this date (March 31, 2017).
