Kazuhiko Takeuchi Centre for Sustainability and Resilience (KTCSR)

The University for Development Studies (UDS) was established in May 1992 by the Government of Ghana to “blend the academic world with that of the community in order to provide constructive interaction between the two for the total development of Northern Ghana in particular and the country as a whole”

As an exit strategy for the Climate and Ecosystem Changes and Adaptation Research Project (CECAR), the Kazuhiko Takeuchi Centre for Sustainability & Resilience (KTCSR) was established in 2017 to promote sustainability science, resilience and ecosystem research and education. The work packages at KTCSR emphasize co-design and co-production of knowledge and resilience enhancing practices. The approaches are trans-disciplinary in nature and dissemination modules are practically-oriented field-based, leading to increased understanding, awareness and application of resilience enhancement strategies.
